    That's pretty good, but here is a way for folks who want to tether without an unlock

    1) Jailbreak the iPhone with Blackra1n and install Cydia
    2) Add 'http://www.sinfuliphonerepo.com/' to your Cydia sources list (without the quotes)
    3) In Cydia, go to Sections > SiNfuL iPhone and install the Enable Tethering for 3G/3GS (depending on your model) package
    4) Go into Settings > General > Reset and tap "Reset Network Settings"
    5) Enjoy

    And I too, am not responsible for any issues you have from following my instructions. So if something goes wrong, it's not my problem.
