FORTUNATELY... Google has a workaround.. i haven't seen it reported much at all.. so I guess you can be the first (i found out about this on twitter).
iPhone users can go to www.voice.google.com and use the service there... as an added bonus.. tap the "+" button and add the page to your home screen and you essentially (in practice anyway) have a gvoice app.
